An assessment of stream conditions and their effects on benthic macroinvertebrate community structure

Abstract

I examined the effects of environmental variables on benthic macroinvertebrate community structure in four stream catchments in the Upper Genesee Watershed of Allegany County. I proposed that some variables would be more pertinent in the determination of community composition especially those related to the effects of land abandonment.
