Major General Sir George Arthur French (1841 – 1921) was a British Army officer who served as the first Commissioner of the North-West Mounted Police from October 1873 to July 1876. Leif Newry Fitzroy Crozier (1846 - 1901) was a Canadian militia officer and a superintendent of the North-West Mounted Police, now best remembered for his role in the North-West Rebellion of 1885. |
