Abstract
Description
Blumenthal writes to Binns that he has had an operation. His job at "the Bureau" has not gone well as they do not like "Alfred men" and he needs a new opportunity. He has done some research on his own "on the replacement of ground quartz by cryptocrystalline silica in heavy clay wares to eliminate the enormous loss due to dunting."
