Abstract

Description

This finding aid lists the collection's contents as a collection of glass collected by Silverman which was started in 1902 with a few colored semaphore disks employed as railroad signals. It is considered an outstanding representation of modern glass, with samples from thirty countries, including the United States. The pieces range from lampwork to cut glass to industrial glass and was presented to Alfred University in 1951.
