Abstract
Description
This is a typescript with penciled revisions, for a talk Harder gave circa 1949 “...at the present time there are several individual potters, working independently of industry as a whole, who claim to be serious, conscious artists; and their claim is to a noteworthy extent justified by the recognition of a small but growing public. This evening I propose to discuss the work of six of these modern potters, who seem to me to have a certain amount of background in Common."
