Abstract
I have recently created my practice around my need for inclusion, solidarity, and foremost intimacy. My work is composed of the avocation and creation of intimacy as a way to build solidarity among community. In my sculpture practice I've created public works where the reciprocity was non-existent. An example of this is my Lou series. Another example of the non-reciprocal exchanges in my practice is my series of social choreographic sequences that I did in the Alfred Village Hall, unnamed during the execution but later called Solidarity Movements. I have made two large projects that have the emotional and intellectual reciprocity that constitutes for intimacy. They are the residency of Theatre of the Oppressed NYC (TONYC), and the Alfred Community Garden AU community Outreach Program.
