Abstract
This speech was written and given by Abigail Allen at the Woman's Congress in New York City on October 15, 1873. It was re-printed in the January and February 1874 issues of "The Alfred Student" (a monthly publication by the students of Alfred University. The speech outlines Abigail Allen's arguments on coeducation and why women should be educated.
