Abstract
This body of photographic work is a symbolic narrative of my relationship with nature as a place of spiritual renewal. My past work has dealt with relationships with nature and this work is based on the renewing energies nature can provide for one. The photographs suggest a journey, based on shifts in perception of reality and truths, through this experience of nature and response to the energy. This energy comes from the sense that not only is nature a powerful force, but an elemental and romantic one, as well. Because of its natural state, it becomes a place of pure and genuine renewal. This series speaks to a different way of not only making color photographs, but of seeing and perceiving expected realities and existing with the land.
