Structural analysis was conducted using Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA), which yielded a thermal profile of each glass. Also included in the study was whether or not the incorporation of Ga affects the formation of a calcium phosphate layer on the glass surfaces after being submerged in simulated body fluid (SBF). These glasses included Ga because of its antibacterial properties and anti-cancer abilities in vivo1,2.en-USHonors thesisGlassBiomaterialsScienceThe Structure and Solubility of SiO2-Ga2O3-ZnO-Na2O-CaO GlassesThesis
