As an artist I hold a responsibility to create works of art that are important to my journey, while keeping it relevant to others. Drawing inspiration from my Mexican heritage and the impactful stories of loved ones, I expand on current day issues that affect me and those who I love. I soften my communication by using familiar and sensitive materials that are inviting to the viewer. Through these, I tell the story of an inherit search for human rights. With three or more generations of immigrants before me, I become attentive to the needs of people who face the same or similar issues in their lives. I understand the process and needs for regulations and protection barriers, but I find it difficult to understand the ease to reject a genuine call for help.en_US
